Dr. Margot Kessler, Clinical Psychologist
Master of Science Degree from the University of Akron
I have worked as a therapist since 1996. As a psychologist I find it most rewarding when clients leave a counseling session knowing they have discovered a new way of coping with a difficult aspect of their life. It is even more important, if they complete the counseling experience feeling positive about themselves, and their future.
I specialize in working with adults and couples. Relationship issues are the most common concern that bring people to therapy. Whether your reason for coming into counseling is personal or relationship based, we will focus on your specific goals to diminish your inner turmoil. A problem does not have to become monumental before you seek help. Humor can save the day and I try to help clients see the funny sides of life. I’m very excited about learning and continually attend workshops to stay informed on psychology topics. My most recent seminars have been in the areas of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), mindfulness, health psychology, suicide prevention, OCD and conflict resolution.
Personal notes: My husband Brad and I have been married since 2001. Together we have four adult children and five very sweet grandchildren. We both love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, biking and skiing. We also love to travel, and often cook together. Our latest challenge was remodeling the Hartville house we now use as our counseling center.
