Theresa Carroll Anders, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Human
Development, Walsh University.
I have worked with people from all walks of life, and have enjoyed watching people attain their goals, and change their lives with the help of therapy. From goals such as improving self-esteem or getting help with a relationship, to making your dreams reality - I believe therapy can help.
In over thirteen years as a therapist, I have specialized in working with adult women. People frequently come to therapy for help in their relationships, to build self-esteem, and to learn to be more assertive. If you are coping with grief/ loss, trauma, or being abused, therapy is the beginning of the process toward healing and building a new life.
I believe knowledge is power, and thus I am constantly seeking educational opportunities to help and support those I counsel. My most recent training was in treating relationship issues where abuse and a history of trauma are part of the story. I also participated in a seminar teaching Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for treatment of depression and anxiety. This involves learning ways to change your thinking in order to change your life.
Personal Notes: My husband, Eric and I have been married since 2005. We love to travel. Since we love animals, we own two pampered (and pleasantly plump) cats, and enjoy investing in causes such as animal rights. Other passions are hiking, enjoying nature, art, music and old movies.
